Police are looking for witnesses in road rage incident

Darpan News Desk , 19 May, 2020 06:02 PM
  • Police are looking for witnesses in road rage incident

Last Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 4 pm, a silver Chevrolet Camaro was observed driving erratically eastbound on North Parallel from Atkinson Road. The driver of the Camaro was observed driving at a high rate of speed and passing multiple vehicles to No 3 Road.

At No 3 Road, the Camaro went over the highway overpass and proceeded on to the westbound on ramp where it pulled over, and two other vehicles pulled in beside the Camaro and began to engage in a verbal altercation. Another witness to the poor driving pulled up behind the vehicles and got out to talk to the Camaro driver about his dangerous driving behaviour.

When he approached the Camaro, the driver got out of the vehicle and began to assault this witness without provocation. The witness raised his arms in self defence to yield off multiple swings. The driver then suddenly got into the Camaro and left. The witnesses noticed his sleeve was cut open and he was bleeding from a deep laceration to his elbow. The witness also observed a black knife lock blade on the ground where he had been attacked.

Anyone who witnessed this incident, or has CCTV, dashcam video or information about these investigations that occurred on Wednesday May 13th, 2020 in the area of North Parallel Road between Atkinson Road and No # Road between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm, is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225.
