Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 23 May, 2018 11:13 AM
COQUITLAM, B.C. — Police in Coquitlam, B.C., say additional charges have been laid against a piano teacher accused of sexually assaulting his students.

RCMP say Dmytro Kubyshkin, who also goes by Dimitri, is now charged with seven counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.

Investigators say the alleged crimes date back to 1998.

Police have said Kubyshkin had been teaching in private homes for more than 20 years and his most recent company is called DM Piano School.

Kubyshkin has been released on a number of conditions, including that he not teach piano to anyone under the age of 18 and that cannot be alone with anyone under the age of 18.

Mounties say their investigation remains open and active, and they're still looking to speak with anyone who may have more information.
