A female pedestrian is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in Richmond over the weekend.

Richmond R-C-M-P say the crash happened on Oct. 14 at 6 a-m in the 7000 block of Granville Avenue.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene and is co-operating with police, and the victim was taken to hospital but died of her injuries.

Police say impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who seriously injured an 85-year-old man in an unprovoked assault in Coquitlam. The Mounties say the suspect dropped the leashes and the dogs ran toward the victim before the suspect approached the man and punched him in the face.
