Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside today.
Police say two cars collided at an intersection just before 11 this morning, and one of the cars jumped the curb and he the person on the sidewalk.
Both drivers remained on scene.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the pedestrian died at the collision scene.

Coquitlam RCMP say they're investigating an altercation between "at least two adult males" in Brookmere Park that occurred around 9:15 in the morning. Investigators say they're looking for more witnesses and any video footage of the altercation, but the nature of what exactly happened remains unknown.
