Pedestrian struck and killed in early morning crash in Abbotsford on Hwy 1

Abbotsford Police say a pedestrian has been pronounced dead after sustaining fatal injuries in a collision on Hwy 1. The accident took place just before 3am on Hwy 1 Westbound between the Clearbrook and McCallum Rd exits. The driver called 911 and is cooperating with police.

2:52 am - Abbotsford emergency services responded to collision on highway 1 involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries & pronounced dead, The driver called 911 & cooperative. Investigators seeking dashcam & witnesses.

Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash. The highway was shut down due to the crash but was re-opened at 7:45am. Investigators are looking for dashcam footage & witnesses.
