  • Pedestrian killed in Surrey crash

Police in Surrey are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle yesterday.

Police say the crash happened in the area of McBride Drive and King Road in north Surrey and the driver remained at the scene after the collision.

The adult male victim was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward to aid with the investigation.

A bus carrying members of Premier David Eby's new cabinet has arrived at Government House in Victoria, with passengers including both new and familiar faces. Among newly elected members of the NDP caucus on the bus were former broadcaster Randene Neill and Vancouver Police Department veteran Terry Yung, while cabinet veterans including Mike Farnworth, Adrian Dix and Ravi Kahlon, also walked off the bus.
