Vancouver police say a 38-year-old city man has died of his injuries after being hit by a car Saturday evening.
They say the man was struck by a Honda Civic around 7 p.m. while the crossing East 57 Avenue mid-block, near Prince Edward Street.
Police say the man died a short time later in hospital.
His name was not immediately released.
Investigators say the driver of the car remained at the scene and is co-operating with police.
They also say that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
The prosecution service did not specify which charges Luke Strimbold plans to enter guilty pleas on, but it says in an emailed statement that his lawyer told a court earlier this week that Strimbold intended to enter guilty pleas at his next appearance on May 6 in Smithers.
