Pedestrian Dies Of Injuries After Being Struck By Car In Vancouver

    Vancouver police say a 38-year-old city man has died of his injuries after being hit by a car Saturday evening.


    They say the man was struck by a Honda Civic around 7 p.m. while the crossing East 57 Avenue mid-block, near Prince Edward Street.


    Police say the man died a short time later in hospital.


    His name was not immediately released.


    Investigators say the driver of the car remained at the scene and is co-operating with police.


    They also say that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
