Partner Of Pregnant Woman Found Dead Near Montreal Charged With First-Degree Murder

    SAINT-HYACINTHE, Que. — The partner of a pregnant woman found dead in her home near Montreal has been charged with first-degree murder.
     
    Alexandre Gendron was arraigned today in Saint-Hyacinthe, about 60 kilometres east of Montreal.
     
    Quebec provincial police say Cheryl Bau-Tremblay of Beloeil was found dead in her home on Thursday after having been missing since last Saturday.
     
     
    Bau-Tremblay, 28, was five months pregnant.
     
    Police have not revealed how she died or where her body was found inside the house.
