A man has been charged after a paramedic was assaulted while responding to a call in Victoria.
City police say it happened last night when a man began hitting and kicking a paramedic in the face as they tried to medically assist him.
They say officers attended the scene to arrest the man and bystanders in the area became increasingly hostile towards them after they deployed a taser during the arrest.
Police say the paramedic was injured and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
A woman is nursing minor injuries after being bitten by a coyote while she was doing some gardening in Prince George, B.C. A statement from the B.C. Conservation Officers Service says the coyote walked up to the woman from behind and bit her.
