Pair Didn't Get Far With Stolen ATM They Dropped On Kelowna Highway: Police

The Canadian Press, 16 Feb, 2016 12:54 PM
KELOWNA, B.C. — A pair of men suspected of stealing a bank machine from a Kelowna, B.C., gas station have lost their loot.

Police say the suspects dropped the stolen ATM on the side of a highway.

RCMP say two masked men forced the glass doors of a gas station from their hinges around 4 a.m. Sunday and took off with the bank machine.

The ATM was found about 15 metres west of the gas station.

Police say it appears the machine fell out of the suspects' vehicle, which witnesses described as an older dark and silver van.

Mounties say there was significant damage to the gas station, but nothing else appears to have been taken.
