  • Pair Charged With Scalping Tickets To Tragically Hip Concert In Winnipeg
Winnipeg police have arrested two people for allegedly scalping tickets to a Tragically Hip concert.

Police say undercover officers replied to online ads for tickets to Friday's show.

The officers met with the pair and were allegedly offered floor seats for "an amount substantially greater than their original face value."

A 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both of Winnipeg, were arrested and charged under Manitoba's Amusement Act.

Tickets for the iconic Canadian band's summer tour were snapped up quickly across the country after it was announced that lead singer Gord Downie has incurable brain cancer.

The band's final concert on the tour is set to take place in its hometown of Kingston, Ont. on Aug. 20.
