Several organizations — including the B-C Real Estate Association, Landlord B-C and the Surrey Board of Trade — are urging the B-C government to create a permanent housing roundtable to address the province's housing crisis.
They say including housing experts — along with government and Indigenous leaders — in the development of housing policy will ensure a more thorough review and head off unintended consequences of any new legislation.
The groups made the call at a Surrey Board of Trade event this morning.
B-C's Housing Minister, Ravi Kahlon, was set to address the same gathering over the lunch hour. (The Canadian Press)
