Openroad Auto Group Awarded Gold Standard Status As One Of Canada’s Best Managed Companies

Darpan News Desk, 01 Apr, 2016 12:18 PM
OpenRoad Auto Group team is proud to once again be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for excellence in business performance.

This year, OpenRoad earned Gold Standard status for their continuous commitment to business excellence for four years in a row. The designation makes OpenRoad the only B.C. company in the automotive category to receive the prestigious award.

Sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, the National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums, the Best Managed award recognizes Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million for sustained growth, financial performance, management practices and the efforts of the entire organization.

“I would like to recognize the entire efforts of the OpenRoad Auto Group,” said Peter Brown, National Co-Leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program and Senior Practice Partner, Deloitte. “It takes a dedicated effort from an entire team to focus on a core vision, create stakeholder value, and excel in the global economy to achieve this level of success.”

OpenRoad Auto Group continues to demonstrate leadership in the areas of growth, profitability, and innovation as B.C.’s largest volume dealership group by employing new technologies and programs that improve the overall customer experience and maintain one of the highest employee retention rates in the industry.

In the past year, OpenRoad has opened three new dealerships - Porsche Centre Langley, Jaguar Land Rover Langley and most recently, OpenRoad Exotics. Later this year, OpenRoad will unveil a new state-of the-art Volkswagen dealership with the opening of OpenRoad VW, as well as the largest Audi dealership in Western Canada and the new home of OpenRoad Audi.

“I am so proud of our team for achieving this prestigious gold standard designation as part of the Best Managed Companies program,” said Christian Chia, President and CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group. “We are focused and committed to raising the bar in the automotive industry for both our customers and employees, so it is such an honour to be recognized for our efforts with this remarkable accomplishment.”

Established in 1993, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs that recognizes Canadian companies that have implemented world-class business practices and created value in innovative ways. Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel on how they address various business challenges, including new technologies, globalization, brand management, leadership, leveraging and developing core competencies, designing information systems, and hiring the right talent to facilitate growth.

2015 winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award, along with Requalified, Gold Standard, Gold Requalified winners and Platinum Club members will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 12, 2016.
