Ontario Woman Wakes Up To Find Large Snake In Apartment: Police

The Canadian Press, 31 May, 2016 11:47 AM

BROCKVILLE, Ont. — A woman in eastern Ontario called police to her home after waking up to the sight of an unusual intruder — a large snake.

Brockville police say that by the time officers arrived around 1 a.m. Monday, the snake had slithered into an air vent and disappeared.

Local media report it has since been captured.

The reports say the snake belonged to another tenant who had lost track of his pet months ago.

A photo of the snake circulated by police drew strong reactions on social media.

Some said the discovery would have been enough to prompt them to move.

"That would have been my notice of self-eviction!!" one woman wrote on Facebook.

"If I made it out alive I likely would have jumped out the window," another said.
