Ontario Town Puts On Christmas Parade For Terminally Ill Boy Evan Leversage

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 24 Oct, 2015 03:14 PM
ST. GEORGE, Ont. — A southern Ontario town is opening its heart to a terminally ill seven-year-old boy.

St George is putting on an early Christmas Parade Saturaday in case Evan Leversage, who has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour, doesn't live until the holidays.

The whole town came together to ring in the holiday season a couple months early.

A landscaping company has decorated his home with fake snow and Christmas lights, and local businesses are decorating their storefronts for the holiday season.

His mother, Nicole Wellwood, is a single parent, and she says she's used to getting help at Christmas.

But she says the town's outpouring of support goes above and beyond all expectations.

The parade is to start at 7 p.m.
