One Person Dead, Others Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash On Coquihalla Highway

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — One person is dead and several others have been hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt, B.C.

 

The crash involving at least three vehicles happened around 7 p.m. on Thursday night.

 

BC Emergency Health Services says two people in critical condition were airlifted from the scene while four others were taken to hospital by ambulance and are in stable condition.

 

 

Coroners' spokesman Andy Watson says one man in his 40s was killed in the crash and the service is investigating.

 

It's unclear what caused the crash.

 

The highway reopened to traffic early Friday morning.
