Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley has reopened after one person died in a crash involving several commercial vehicles.
Police say it happened yesterday afternoon in the eastbound lanes just west of Hope.
Investigators say it appears one truck was travelling at high speed when it rear-ended another commercial vehicle that was stopped for construction.
The driver of the speeding truck was killed and police say no charges are being considered against anyone else involved.
RCMP say the two people died in a slide Monday near Mount McCrae southeast of Revelstoke. Police say they were with a small group heli-skiing in the backcountry near an area known as "Chocolate Bunnies."
