Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley has reopened after one person died in a crash involving several commercial vehicles.
Police say it happened yesterday afternoon in the eastbound lanes just west of Hope.
Investigators say it appears one truck was travelling at high speed when it rear-ended another commercial vehicle that was stopped for construction.
The driver of the speeding truck was killed and police say no charges are being considered against anyone else involved.
The 31-year-old officer was stabbed to death last week in a Metro Vancouver park while she helped a City of Burnaby employee notify a man in a tent that he wasn't allowed to live in the park.
