UPDATE: Richmond RCMP confirm that there was a shooting at YVR. One man is dead after the shooting at the airport. IHIT has taken over the case.

Police have taken control of the situation at the aiport. Flights are operating and the airport is open with restricted access in place. Please check on the status of your flight before leaving for Vancouver International Airport. No word on number of suspects. No arrests have been made. In light of the shooting Vancouver International Airport has released a statement via a Twitter post.

A burned out vehicle was found in Surrey. Its too early to say if this shooting is linked to the ongoing gang conflict in the lower mainland.
Bridges have re-opened along with the Massey Tunnel. Skytrain service has resumed. Traffic is doing much better in the area. Police have fully reopened the intersections of No 3 Road and Sea Island Way and Bridgeport Rd.

The Massey Tunnel is completely closed and Northbound Alex Fraser is blocked. Queensborough bridge and Oak St bridge have just re-opened. The Knight Street Bridge is under lock down. Heavy police presence in the area.
Skytrain service has been restored but please be aware of delays.
