One Man Dead, Another Under Arrest After Homicide Sunday In Port Coquitlam, B.C.

The Canadian Press, 05 Nov, 2018 10:02 AM
PORT COQUITLAM, B.C. — One man is dead and another is under arrest following what police describe as an altercation in suburban Vancouver.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says it has taken over the case after officers were called to a Port Coquitlam home early Sunday morning.

A seriously injured man was rushed to hospital but police say in a news release that he could not be saved.

The second man was arrested at the same home where the victim was found.

The release says the two men, who have not been named, knew each other and there does not appear to be any further risk to public safety.

Homicide investigation team Cpl. Frank Jang says officers will be conducting an extensive canvas of the neighbourhood, searching for video surveillance footage and witnesses.
