One person is dead in a crash involving a dump truck and an S-U-V in Surrey.
R-C-M-P say the collision happened this morning in the 12-thousand-200 block of 80 Avenue.
One person was declared dead at the scene despite efforts to revive the victim.
Collision reconstruction and analysis investigators are at the crash site, and police are advising motorists to be mindful of road closures in the area.
The service says Highway 20 north of Bella Coola was closed Sunday evening as the fire that was discovered near Young Creek just the day before swelled to 22-square kilometres in size. The service says no evacuation orders have been issued for the fire, which is among more than 360 burning in the province, with 23 listed by the wildfire service as fires of note.
