  • One arrested and two outstanding following a truck into a building in an attempt commercial break and enter.

Police are asking for the public to come forward with any information that will help them identify two individuals involved in an overnight commercial break and enter in horseshoe bay.

On April 5, 2021, at 1:56 a.m. West Vancouver Police received multiple reports of a truck into a building in the 6600 block of Royal Ave. Suspects were seen fleeing the area on foot after attempts to drive the vehicle out of the building failed.

Officers from West Vancouver, North Vancouver and Vancouver Police Departments quickly set up containment in the area, and requested assistance from both VPD and RCMP K9 units.

VPD K9 unit located and apprehended one suspect, while two remain outstanding.

The vehicle involved was confirmed to have been stolen out of Vancouver.

“The individuals caused extensive damage to both public and private property. We are lucky that no one was injured,” Says Cst. Nicole Braithwaite. “Thank you to all of our partnering agencies who assisted us on the call.”

The investigation is still ongoing.
