On Behalf Of All British Columbians, I Extend My Warmest Wishes For A Happy Guru Nanak Gurpurab: John Horgan

    Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement on Guru Nanak Gurpurab:

     

    “Today, Sikhs in British Columbia and around the globe celebrate the 550th anniversary of the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, founder of the Sikh religion.

     

    “To mark this day, we join Sikh communities in celebrating and contemplating the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The values of unity, equality, selflessness and community service that guide Sikhs are universal principles we can all learn from and live by, as we work together to build a better B.C. for everyone.

     

    “On this significant anniversary, let us recognize the tremendous contributions made by Sikh Canadians to help make British Columbia the strong, diverse and thriving province it is today. “On behalf of all British Columbians, I extend my warmest wishes for a happy Guru Nanak Gurpurab!”
