Northwestern B.C. Woman Accused Of Stealing Cab After Spray Painting Driver

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 10 Jun, 2016 12:14 PM
TERRACE, B.C. — A northwestern B.C. woman has been arrested after what police describe as a two-day crime spree that included spray painting a cab driver and stealing his vehicle.

Terrace RCMP Sgt. Mike Robinson says 27-year-old Kim Archambault is charged with robbery.

He says the resident of the tiny community of Gitsegukla, about 100 kilometres northeast of Terrace, was arrested after a series of incidents in the city.

Mounties say they received numerous complaints last weekend about a woman spray painting graffiti on walls and vehicles, including police vehicles, and then using the spray paint as a weapon against the cab driver.

Seven police cruisers and four civilian vehicles were vandalized, along with several businesses and murals, but the cab driver was not seriously hurt.

Robinson says the taxi was recovered, but has extensive damage.
