SURREY, B.C. — Nine people have been arrested following what RCMP in Surrey, B.C., says is a targeted, early morning shooting.
A release from the detachment says no one was hit by gunfire, but one person was slightly hurt after being cut by broken glass.

The shooting happened just after 3 a.m. Monday, in the parking lot of a south Surrey hotel Pacific Inn on King George Boulevard.
According to police, a disagreement led to shots being fired between the occupants of two vehicles and both cars sped away.

Investigators believe both vehicles have now been recovered, although one was found outside Surrey and police are still confirming details.

RCMP say those involved are known to each other and they are urging witnesses to come forward to provide more information.
