No Injuries, But One Home Hit By Gunfire In Separate Abbotsford Shootings

The Canadian Press, 18 Jan, 2016 12:52 PM
ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Police in Abbotsford, B.C., are investigating two separate shootings in just under three hours in that Fraser Valley city.

The most recent occurred minutes after midnight on Monday when a home in the northeast corner of Abbotsford was hit by gunfire.

No one was hurt and police say neighbours reported hearing a vehicle speeding away from the scene.

Investigators say they can't rule out the possibility that the shooting is linked to gunfire just two hours earlier, a few blocks to the south.

In the Sunday night shooting, the occupants of two vehicles traded shots at an Abbotsford intersection, but officers say no homes or vehicles were hit and there are no reports of injuries.

Abbotsford police are urging anyone with details about either attack to come forward.
