Police in New Westminster are looking for witnesses of an assault they believe may have been a targeted attack.
They say it happened near the intersection of Carnarvon Street and Alexander Street early yesterday.
The victim was taken to hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they believe two people armed with weapons are responsible for the assault and are canvassing the area for C-C-T-V footage of the suspects.
Specialized units from the Lower Mainland were called to inspect the item and the airport was closed for several hours out of an abundance of caution.
