Police in New Westminster are looking for witnesses of an assault they believe may have been a targeted attack.
They say it happened near the intersection of Carnarvon Street and Alexander Street early yesterday.
The victim was taken to hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they believe two people armed with weapons are responsible for the assault and are canvassing the area for C-C-T-V footage of the suspects.
Residents near West 10th and Waterloo Street may see additional officers patrolling and knocking on doors. The suspects were men in their 20s who had their faces covered.
