NDP Loses Second Candidate For 'Personal Reasons' In Saskatchewan Election

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 11 Mar, 2016 12:30 PM
REGINA — The Saskatchewan New Democrats have lost a second candidate in the provincial election.

A party communications person says in an email that Mark Jeworski has resigned for personal reasons.

Jeworski was running in the southern constituency of Weyburn-Big Muddy against Health Minister Dustin Duncan.

On Thursday, NDP Leader Cam Broten removed a candidate in Saskatoon because of questionable posts on Facebook.

One post circulated to media by the governing Saskatchewan Party from 2013 showed a photo with the words: "A true gentleman holds the door for his woman then smacks her ass."

Clayton Wilson, who was running in Saskatoon Northwest, faced criticism earlier this week for Facebook posts from two years ago referring to "stupid farmers."
