Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 13 Dec, 2015 02:23 PM
VANCOUVER — Oddball celebrity interviewer Nardwuar the Human Serviette has been discharged from Vancouver General Hospital after suffering a stroke.

The eccentric Vancouver native posted a message to his Facebook and Twitter accounts on Saturday to announce he was leaving the hospital's stroke unit.

He wrote that he had outlook surgery scheduled for February and thanked his supporters for all their messages, adding a hashtag of the frequent end to his interviews #dootdoo.

Nardwuar, whose real name is John Ruskin, also posted a smiling photo of himself in a hospital bed wearing his signature tartan cap and rock band T-shirt.

The nasally-voiced 47-year-old posted on Wednesday that he had suffered the stroke at a Mint Records party in Vancouver.

He's known for his eccentric and outrageous interviewing style, which has prompted memorable exchanges with stars including Iggy Pop and Snoop Dogg.
