Nanaimo RCMP Issue Warrant For Christmas Morning Theft Of Gifts, Stockings

The Canadian Press, 03 Jan, 2019 08:41 PM

NANAIMO, B.C. — A charge has been laid after wrapped gifts were taken from under a tree on Christmas morning at a home in Nanaimo, B.C.

The RCMP say a father, his wife and their two boys, aged 10 and 14, were sleeping when he heard a noise downstairs, then found the refrigerator door open, cupboards ransacked and gifts and stockings gone.

Police say officers found some open gifts strewn down the street from the family's home, but other items, such as two new iPhones, Xbox games and gift cards, were not found.

A witness told police that he saw two males running through the area but a second suspect hasn't been named.

Police say 20-year-old Justin Redmond Feusse of no fixed address has been charged with break, enter and theft.

The RCMP say he is also wanted on the same charge over allegations of a break and enter at another Nanaimo-area home in January 2017.
