PEMBERTON, B.C. — The British Columbia coroners service has identified three people who were killed on a highway near Whistler.
Fifty-three-year-old Kelly Blunden and 50-year-old Ross Chafe were riding with a group along the Sea-to-Sky Highway when they were hit around noon on Sunday.
The vehicle's sole passenger was 52-year-old Paul Pierre Jr., was also killed in the collision.
RCMP say the driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Vancouver.
Mounties say the driver appears to have been impaired, based on observations from witnesses and officers at the scene.
No charges have been laid, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
