Naked Man Confronts Woman In South Surrey Parking Lot, Police Seek Help To Locate Suspect

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 06 Aug, 2016 02:29 PM
Surrey RCMP is investigating a suspicious circumstance that occurred last night involving a naked man approaching a female in south Surrey. Police are seeking the assistance of the public to locate the suspect.

At approximately 9:30 pm on August 4th, a woman was walking to her vehicle in a parking lot in the 3100 block of 152nd Street near South Point Plaza, when a naked male approached from a nearby car and made physical contact with her.

The woman threatened to scream, and the male fled the parking lot northbound in the vehicle. The woman was unharmed.

The suspect is described as a caucasian male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with short brown hair, no facial hair, a rounded jaw line, and a medium build. He was driving a newer vehicle, possibly green with a square body type. The trunk was open when he drove away from the scene.

The woman is obviously shaken up as a result of this contact with a man she does not know, says Sergeant Alanna Dunlop. We would like to speak to anyone that may have been in the area of South Point Plaza last night who may have seen something that can assist us with this investigation.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca.
