Mounties Consider Charges As ATV Crashes Into Okanagan Public Library

The Canadian Press Darpan, 03 Sep, 2014 02:37 PM
VERNON, B.C. - Two women may be facing charges after crashing an ATV into the front window of a public library in the North Okanagan.

Mounties say officers on patrol were tending to another matter in Enderby on Sunday night when they spotted two women riding an ATV on the road just before 11 p.m.

The police officers followed the two women, but before they could catch up with them, they had crashed the vehicle into the Okanagan Regional Library and smashed in the front window.

Both women, who are in their early 30s, suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Vernon, about half an hour away.

Police say alcohol may have contributed to the crash, and the women could face charges.

The library is opened for business as usual. (CKIZ)
