Mountie Lines Up Behind Prohibited Driver At West Kelowna Drive-Thru, Makes Arrest

    A West Kelowna RCMP officer was waiting in line at the drive through of a local coffee shop just before 2:30 am on March 1st, 2020 when she discovered that the vehicle she was behind had been reported stolen on February 28th in Edmonton.


    West Kelowna front line officers were able to surround the vehicle and the driver was taken into custody without incident.


    During the arrest, it was determined that the man had two outstanding warrants from Merritt for driving while prohibited, and was currently a prohibited driver.


    39-year-old Peter Hancock is facing charges of prohibited driving and possession of stolen property. He currently remains in custody.
