Mountie Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash Near Victoria

    LANGFORD, B.C. — An on-duty RCMP officer has been killed in a crash near Victoria.
     
    Media photos taken at the crash site show a pickup truck and a badly damaged RCMP cruiser at an intersection in Langford, B.C.
     
    The crash happened at around 3:30 a.m. today.
     
    Mounties say the case of the crash remains under investigation.
     
    Both the coroner and the Independent Investigations Office, which probes police-involved cases of death or serious injury, are at the scene of the accident.
