Abbotsford police say speed is believed to have played a part in a fatal crash in that Fraser Valley city.

A car and motorcycle collided just before 6:30 last night, critically injuring the 58-year-old man on the motorcycle -- and he died later in hospital.

Police say the 21-year-old woman who was driving the car was not seriously hurt and is co-operating with the investigation.

Police are seeking witnesses or dashcam video taken in the Gladwin Road and Nanaimo Crescent area early last evening
