Motor vehicle crash due to collision with a hydro pole leads to road closures in South Surrey

Surrey RCMP is advising the public that 184 Street is closed between 32 Avenue and 40 Avenue following a single vehicle motor vehicle accident that stuck a hydro pole.
BC Hydro is currently on scene and the road closure on 148 Street in both directions will be in effect for the morning and possibly into the afternoon.
District of North Vancouver Fire Rescue Service were already on scene. Flames and smoke were seen coming from the three-story structure, and firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.
The three-year exemption effective Jan. 31 will apply to drug users 18 and over and include opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA, also known as ecstasy.
