Mother Pleads For Body Of Son As Bail Hearing Continues In Halifax Murder Case

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 22 Oct, 2015 01:10 PM
HALIFAX — The mother of the alleged victim in a murder case said today she's hoping that someone comes forward to help police find her son's missing body.

Linda Boutilier said outside a bail hearing today that she needs to bring Taylor Samson's body home and provide him with a proper burial.

She made the comments as the hearing in Nova Scotia Supreme Court continued for 22-year-old William Sandeson, who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his fellow student at Dalhousie University.

Sandeson, who was enrolled in medical school at Dalhousie, was charged on Aug. 20, four days after Samson was reported missing in Halifax.

The mother said she's been told by police they still have not found his body.

Samson, a 22-year-old former resident of Amherst, N.S., studied physics at the university.

A publication ban has been placed on the evidence presented in court during the bail hearing.
