The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says more cases of Avian flu have been detected in B-C.

The agency says the virus was detected over the weekend at a commercial poultry property in Abbotsford.

It says B-C has 64 currently infected premises, with more than 8.5 million birds impacted as of the end of 2024.

Primary control zones that restrict the movement of birds and related products stretch across B-C's Fraser Valley as authorities seek to stop the spread of the disease
