Mix Of Bright Green And White Salad Dressing, Mayo Spills Over Toronto Highway

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 19 Jul, 2016 12:42 PM
TORONTO — A mix of salad dressing and mayonnaise oozed over a portion of a major Toronto highway after a transport truck carrying large vats of the condiments rolled over while making a turn.

The single-vehicle crash caused a flood of thick neon green and white sludge to spill over the road as the truck lay on its side.

Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the incident took place around 11 a.m. on Tuesday and left the driver of the vehicle with just a few cuts and scrapes.

He says crews were working to clean up the mess.

He says the truck was "fully loaded" with bulk loads of salad dressing, mayonnaise and other food product.

Investigators are on the scene of the crash (at the Don Valley Parkway northbound ramp to Highway 401 West).
