Mina Khtaria Of Surrey To Audition For 'Miss Universe India 2015'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 09 Sep, 2015 11:54 AM
An Indo-Canadian woman is set to fly to India to audition for the Miss Universe India 2015 pageant, a media report said on Wednesday.

Since the organisers have permitted non-resident women of Indian origin to compete in this year's pageant, Mina Khtaria, 24, will be auditioning on September 20, Asian Pacific Post news portal reported on Tuesday.

Twenty contestants will be shortlisted who will appear on a TV reality show "Miss Diva".

The participants will then compete in daily challenges and one woman will be eliminated in each episode until Miss Universe India is crowned.

Khtaria has featured in many beauty pageants like Miss Asian Pacific Canada 2013, Miss Universe Canada 2014 and the World's Next Top Model 2014.

She has earlier travelled to India to take part in fashions shows. She has also attended acting schools here.

The Indo-Canadian girl has also hosted a talk show and contributed to the health and food columns for a Canadian ethnic magazine.
