Meth production lab found inside Abbotsford residence

Darpan News Desk Abbotsford Police, 30 Aug, 2022 05:25 PM
  • Meth production lab found inside Abbotsford residence

In early August, AbbyPD Patrol Officers began a drug trafficking investigation into a residence within the 2300 block of Hemlock Street.

Last Tuesday, August 23, 2022  a CDSA search warrant was granted for the residence. During the search of the residence, a Methamphetamine production lab was located inside.

3 kilograms of Opioids and 7.4 kilograms of Methamphetamine were seized from within the residence. At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is in its early stages, with drug trafficking & production charges forthcoming.

"I am very proud of everyone who was part of this investigation. This team effort highlights that we will never stop holding those accountable who produce, import, and are involved in trafficking the highly toxic drugs on our streets. Tomorrow marks International Overdose Awareness Day, and we have witnessed many overdose deaths in our community. We must find ways to reduce illicit drug demand," said Chief Constable Mike Serr.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the AbbyPD at 604-859-5225.
