Member Of British Columbia Legislature Files Complaint Over Former Employee

The Canadian Press, 13 Jul, 2016 02:12 PM
VICTORIA — A member of the B.C. legislature says he has filed a complaint with the Victoria police department over missing money in his constituency office.

Rob Fleming, who represents Victoria-Swan Lake for the NDP, says in a statement the allegations involve a former employee.

A spokesman for the police department declined comment on the investigation Tuesday night but said more information will be released Wednesday.

Fleming's statement does not say how much money was involved or when the complaint was made to police.

Fleming is the Opposition's education critic.
