Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 02 Mar, 2016 12:49 PM
REGINA — Health officials say norovirus is what caused dozens of people to get sick at the University of Regina.

The university said 44 people became ill with the gastrointestinal virus on Monday.

The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region confirmed what the illness was by Tuesday morning.

The university says it will continue with precautions including increased cleaning, restricting certain food items, shutting down self-serve buffets, and keeping the fitness and wellness centre closed though Friday.

The school is asking people who are ill to stay home for at least 48 hours after symptoms have cleared.
