MONTREAL — A massive hospital move is underway in Montreal today as patients are being transferred from the Royal Victoria to the newly-built "superhospital."
Up to 200 patients are expected to be transferred by the end of the afternoon.
A hospital spokesman says the move is going smoothly and on schedule.
By 11 a.m. almost 100 patients had been transferred, including the most critical cardiac patient.
The patients are being transferred by ambulance and Medicar at the rate of one every three minutes.
Today's move will cost an estimated $10 million.
