  • Marijuana grow-op busted in Abbotsford

Police in Abbotsford say they've dismantled a large-scale marijuana grow operation after a tip from a B-C Conservation Officer last week.

The Abbotsford Police Department says it assisted the conservation officer service in executing a search warrant on a property on July 13.

Police say its drug enforcement unit's investigation found that the grow operation was producing more than legally allowed after being granted a search warrant under the federal Cannabis Act.

Investigators say they seized four thousand pot plant, kilos of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, as well as handguns, three sawed-off shotguns, a rifle, and a dozen other firearms that were "lawfully possessed."
