Manitoba Mounties Rescue Starving Skunk With Head Stuck In Tim Hortons Cup

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 12 Jul, 2016 11:50 AM
WINNIPEGOSIS, Man. — Manitoba RCMP say two of their officers recently completed a dangerous mission — coming to the aid of a starving skunk with a Tim Hortons cup stuck on its head.

The RCMP posted a video on its Twitter feed showing two Mounties helping the critter on June 22 near Winnipegosis, about 300 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

Const. Kyle Van De Sype and his backup, Const. Catlin Lang, are seen catching up with the skunk and covering it with a tarp.

They then wait for the skunk to poke its nose out at which point they can grab the cup.

The skunk is seen running off into the night, able to eat once again, while the officers congratulate themselves for saving it.

RCMP say no officers were sprayed during the rescue.
