  • Man taken to hospital after shots fired in Cloverdale

On Thursday during the early hours of the morning at 1:15 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the of 17700-block of 60 Avenue at a residence in Cloverdale. 

A 26-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds inside the residence. He was taken to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.

“The victim is known to police and is not cooperating with the investigation,” says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer Constable Sarbjit Sangha. “Based on the information gathered so far no links have been identified to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.”

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken over the investigation, which is still in early stages. Officers are currently canvassing in the area and a residence has been secured pending a search warrant.
